Candidate Submissions 1: The search for 2014's NID song

The search for the NID song of 2014 is upon us. 

Do you have any suggestions? 

Usually it is a relatively new song that is popular during the December holiday season - you know, the song you find yourself nodding your head to while driving... or turning up the volume at a party. A sure give away is usually when it is frequently requested at weddings or social gatherings, a.k.a. a braai.

The reality is that the NID song usually chooses itself and, in my humble opinion, Taylor is the front runner, telling us to "Shake it off" this December.

Macaulay Culkin is 30 years old

Macaulay Carson Culkin (born August 26, 1980) is an American actor. He is best known for portraying Kevin McCallister in Home Alone and Home Alone 2: Lost in New York. At the height of his fame he was regarded as the most successful child actor since Shirley Temple.^[2] He was also considered one of the late entertainer Michael Jackson's best friends.^[3]

He was ranked #2 in VH1 and E!'s respective lists, the "100 Greatest Kid-Stars" and "50 Greatest Child Stars".

New Weezer Album and it's Ridiculous cover

In an e-mail interview, Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo told us the rationale behind the sleeve: "We just wanted to use that picture of Jorge Garcia's face on the cover. It's such an amazing album cover, and we didn't want to have any other words on it, so we just figured everyone was going to call it Hurley, so that's what we call it."

Gundam at Shiokaze Park in Odaiba

The "full scale" of Gundam that is 18 meters tall stands at Shiokaze Park in Odaiba. Awesome!

Gundam has been "under construction" to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the broadcasting of the "Mobile Suit Gundam" animated television series and it will open to the public for free from July 11th to August 31st.
